Need powerlines removed?
It is very common that when a quotation is requested to remove or re-route a powerline, whether as a result of visual impact or proposed development, that the network operator will put the full cost of any diversion onto the landowner. The networks also offer no advice on alternative options and use restrictive timescales to edge landowners into accepting these quotes.
However, in many cases the Distribution Network Operator (DNO) may not hold the correct rights to have their equipment in situ. This means that some, or all of the cost of removal should fall to the DNO depending on the impact on value their equipment has to the exisiting property or any proposed development.
Land Utilities Advisory Group are specialists in negotiating reduced quotations for the removal of electricity apparatus through providing evidence of financial loss to landowners. Therefore, if you have received a quotation from an electricity company, get in touch to see how we could help.
